Rajma Curry

Ingredients 

  • Rajma-1cup
  • Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
  • Onion - 1
  • Tomato - 2
  • Turmeric Powder - 0.5 tsp
  • Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
  • Red Chilli - 0.5 tsp
  • Garam Masala - 0.5 tsp
  • Salt - 0.5 tsp
  • Water - 2 cup

Recipe 

  • Soak the Rajma overnight and then drain the water before cooking.
  • Roast cumin seeds in a pan until they turn aromatic.
  • Add onion and cook until golden brown.
  • Add tomatoes, turmeric powder, coriander powder, red chilli, garam masala, and salt. Cook until the tomatoes are soft.
  • Add the soaked Raima and let it cook for 2-3 whistles or until it is tender.
  • Add water and let it simmer for another 5-10 minutes.
  • Serve hot with steamed rice / Roti.
